Call for tutorials

Call for tutorials

TridentCom 2010 is soliciting proposals for tutorials of either a half-day (3 hours plus breaks) or a full day (6 hours plus breaks) to be held in conjunction with the conference. Tutorials are an effective way to educate and provide the necessary background to the intended audience enabling them to understand technical advances in the field. For example, tutorials may cover a topic in depth, introduce an emerging application area for testbed technologies, or update the community on recent advances in related fields.

Submissions should include a cover sheet and an extended abstract. The cover sheet should specify:

  1. the title and length of the tutorial
  2. the intended audience (introductory, intermediate, advanced)
  3. any background knowledge or skills required
  4. complete contact information for the contact person and other presenters
  5. a brief biography (max. 2 paragraphs) for each presenter

The extended abstract should provide enough information to evaluate the scope of the topic to be covered as well as the depth to which it will be covered. The extended abstract should be 1 to 2 pages, and should include:

  • a description of the coverage
  • a description of the tutorial objectives
  • an outline of the tutorial
  • its relevance to the community

Proposals must be submitted by 15 January 2010 via e-mail to tridentcom2010@eurescom.eu
